Better at Home
Are you a senior (65+) living independently at home who needs help with certain tasks? We coordinate services including rides to appointments, friendly visits, and help with chores.
Better At Home offers non-medical support to those aged 65+ to help them continue to live independently in their own homes, remain connected to their communities, and age with dignity. This program is supported and managed by the United Way and funded in part by the Government of BC. Lake Country Health Planning Society coordinates the Better At Home services for Lake Country and areas of Kelowna that are North of Duck Lake. Currently we provide light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, grocery shopping, light yard work and friendly visiting. We hope to provide assistance with snow shovelling and minor home maintenance within the next year.
Some of the services provided by the Better at Home program are based on a sliding scale for fees, and others are volunteer based.
Please phone 778.215.5247 to self-refer for these services.
