Lake Country Health Hub Update

The Working Committee gratefully acknowledges the Central Okanagan Foundation for the grant we received this summer. This funding will allow us to continue to do research, develop partnerships, and address Primary Health Care needs in Lake Country.
What we've been up to in the past few months:
We had over 500 community members complete our resident survey, which gave us valuable insight into community needs and wants. Residents who responded are overwhelmingly in favour of an expanded, one-stop shop Health Hub!
We are currently in the process of gathering information from Central Okanagan service providers through our Service Provider Survey. The idea is to gain knowledge on who provides services in Lake Country, where they are doing it, and to see if there are ways to coordinate these services into the Health Hub.

There is still a great deal of work to be done but our Working Committee is a dedicated, enthusiastic group of volunteers who recognize the value of this project and who are committed to seeing it through. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of them!

The United Way and Lake Country Health Planning are once again co-hosting an Interagency Meeting, October 19th, 9am-11am, in the Carr's Landing Room of the District of Lake Country Municipal Hall. Please contact our office if you are interested in attending. 778-215-5247
Lake Country Health Planning is open Monday thru Thursday, 10am-2pm. Need information on programs, services, or housing options? We are available by phone, email or in person to answer your questions and provide resources and referrals.
