Originally from Montreal, British Columbia has been Ron's home since 1984 with long residencies in Lake Country, Vernon and North Vancouver. His fulltime residency in Lake Country came about in 2016, though a home was purchased in 2007. Many weekends and holidays have been spent in Lake Country during an extensive renovation project. His career has primarily focused within the employee benefits industry within national insurance or benefit consulting firms across Canada. Ron’s clients have been within both private and public organizations. During the last fifteen years he has focused on disability income replacement benefits, rehabilitation and case management as well as health & wellness services. In all business arenas, he has held senior management or national management positions.
Ron has participated in various committees across Canada within the benefits industry such as CARP, Canadian Pension & Benefits Institute including corporate sponsored committees. His most recent volunteer commitments include Ovarian Cancer Canada’s Walk of Hope in Vancouver and Kelowna and Prostate Canada especially acknowledged his individual fund raising in 2014. In the past, he has been a director of Vernon Chamber of Commerce, director and past president of the BC Parkinson’s Disease Association and fundraising for Rick Hansen. Ron continues to consult on employee benefits through his company, Associated Benefits Consulting within British Columbia.
