SERVICES FOR CAREGIVERS

The Caregiver Support Program works to address the stresses of caregiving by focusing on the well-being of the caregiver.

Caregiver Peer Support Groups
Caregiving doesn’t have to be a one-person, all or nothing role. Other caregivers can be invaluable resources for practical advice and tips based on their own experiences.
The Caregiver Support Group is an encouraging space designed for individuals facing the stresses of unpaid caregiving. We currently have caregiver support groups in Vernon, Kelowna, and Lake Country.
Silver Sitter Friendly Visitor
The Silver Sitter Friendly Visitor program provides informal respite for caregivers. The caregiver is matched up with a trained volunteer, who spends time with the care recipient, playing games or simply visiting. This program allows the caregiver tot take a break from their caregiving duties.
Caregiver Equipment Bank
Our Caregiver Equipment Bank provides free access to donated caregiving supplies for unpaid caregivers of older adults. Items range from incontinence products to walkers to shower stools. Please click the button below and reach out to get access to the Equipment Bank.
